Heat Holders Review: You Can Leave Your Socks On

I was given these Heat Holders socks for the purpose of this review but all words and opinions are my own.

So it may hotter than the sun at the moment (just don’t ask how I’m coping) but I have a confession to make. I can’t go to bed without wearing socks. During the day I love nothing more than being sock-loose and fancy free but even in this weather the thought of slipping (read – hauling myself inelegantly) under the covers without my little piggies encased makes me weep. So when Heat Holders approached me to try out their thermal socks on our recent camping trip how could I resist?

Heat Holders DisneyFor our little sojourn into the world of camping we were sent a pair each of the Ladies and Mens Original Heat Holders Socks priced at £5.99 per pair and a pair of the Kids Disney Princess Heat Holders Slipper Socks at £7.99.

As it turns out they were an absolute Godsend because trust me it can get pretty bloody freezing at night when you’re sleeping under a glorified plastic bag, even at the height of summer. With a 2.3 tog rating they kept all our tootsie toasty warm even in the small freezing hours and multiple midnight trips to the loo. Heat Holders 2They are super soft inside (even after washing) which makes them really comfortable to wear and excellent quality so you know they’re going to last for many a camping holiday. As expected the Child was completely in love with the Disney Princess design (not available in adult sizes unfortunately, although there are plenty of adult designs to choose from) and pretty much had to be womanhandled out of her socks every morning.

If socks aren’t your thing or you’re looking for the full thermal kit and caboodle then check out the rest of Heat Holders’ products which range from hats and gloves to underwear (mmm long johns), blankets to jumpers. They even do gift boxes if you’re struggling to buy for your cold-bloodied loved one. You can either buy directly from Heat Holders website or they’re widely stocked online meaning you don’t have the impossible task of trying to track down a woolly hat in June.

All in all, whether you’re heading camping this summer or escaping the rising temperatures by heading somewhere cold, Heat Holders socks are a must to keep your porkers warm and happy.

Remember folks I was given these Heat Holders socks for the purpose of this review but all words and opinions are my own, including this word you’re reading right… now.
